Custom synthesis connects a requested sequence with a physical material and a set of supporting information. The useful description includes more than a name: sequence direction, terminal groups, modifications, requested amount and the analytical information needed to understand the result. These elements are related, but each answers a different question. This page introduces them as the foundation of a technical project, with the actual scope and deliverable details confirmed for the selected target.
Describe the target without relying on shorthand
A short project name is useful for communication, but the molecular description remains the reference. State the sequence in a recognized notation, identify unusual residues and show where modifications belong. If a reference sequence changes, make the revised version explicit so that different members of the project are discussing the same target.
Describe the material as well as the molecule
The target molecule and the delivered sample are not the same description. Requested quantity, container arrangement and analytical expectations help define the sample. A requirement for a particular method, salt form or presentation should be explicit; it should not be inferred from a generic service page or from a previous project. The synthesis brief remains a technical record even when a separate label or box order is included in the same commercial discussion.

Organize your requirements into text you can copy into an inquiry. This tool records your input; feasibility, performance and pricing require separate review.
